A Young Prisoner's Revenge: Adapted from a true story, this tense drama
explores a Chinese family's desperate attempts to protect their young son when
he is is convicted of robbery.
When 15 year old Zhang Shuai is put on trial for robbery, his parents will
do anything to reduce his sentence. His mother even goes so far as to sell her
own kidney in order to get the money to bribe a judge. The plan goes disastrously
wrong when, unbeknownst to the family, the attorney keeps the money.
While Zhang Shuai is serving three years in jail, his mother dies. Consumed
by hatred, when he is released from prison, Zhang's mind is dead-set on seeking
the appropriate revenge. He vows to find evidence that the judge, An Hui, accepted
the bribe and vows to send her to prison.
With his his ulterior motives unknown, he establishes himself as An Hui’s houseguest
but once living there, he finds the judge isn't who he expected her to be. A
long forgotten letter appears, which reveals the true facts of his case and
exonerates An Hui. Instead, Zhang now understands the important part that An
Hui played and his life is changed forever.
